Synesthescope is an audio-visual research project made by Anton Filatov.

This website is a presentation of 3 synthesis works that were also presented at the exhibition of young artists of Karelia in Petrozavodsk (2015). It’s based on IFFT to synthesise sounds from the 3D spectrogram sculptures developed from 3 photographs and an artwork.
Here is the second version of Synesthescope, that is based on Processing-JS. The first iteration was able to do a real-time in-browser processing of image into audio although required a java plugin which was blocked in all major browsers right after the initial release.
It may could not happen without the Processing language, environment and community. more info: processing.org
